Hole 18
"I believe a great golf course needs a long, demanding finishing hole as its closing test. No matter what the stakes, a player should have to hit a long straight drive followed by a long accurate iron (or wood) on the final hole, with the pressure on, in order to truly earn the prize. A birdie should be a rare bird, a reward only for the best that you can muster. This hole is definitely all of that. It is long and guarded off of the tee and around the green by some big, deep bunkers. The drive must thread the needle, and the second must avoid the deep pits on the left. The green is generous but has some slope from back to front. All in all, it is one tough hole. Feel good about a par."
